Deniz Cereb, M.D.


Dr. Deniz Cereb has been practicing Pediatrics in Staten Island for over 15 years.  He attained his Doctor of Medicine degree in 1986. Dr. Cereb finished his residency training in Pediatrics at the State University of New York/Children’s Medical Center of Brooklyn in 1993.  He is board certified in Pediatrics. Dr. Cereb’s interests cover all areas of Pediatric medicine.  During his leisure time, he reads novels, watches movies and loves to travel. 


Minna Cohen, MSN,FNP,CLC

Alyssa Jensen, MSN, CPNP

Alyssa Jensen received her Bachelor's from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and her Master's from Vanderbilt University. She is board certified through PNCB. 






Maria McGrail, RPA-C

Maria McGrail is a native Staten Islander practicing for over 10 years. She completed her studies locally at St. John’s University, receiving her Bachelors in Physician Assistant Studies. She has been board certified with the NCCPA since 2004. Maria is bilingual and can speak Spanish fluently. Prior to joining Island Kids Pediatrics, Maria worked in all three emergencies rooms in Staten Island and in gynecology. In her leisure time she enjoys spending time with her family, reading and travelling. 






Rumana Rahman, D.O.

Dr. Rahman is the newest addition to the group.  Having grown up in India/ Bangladesh for the first 8 years of her life, home is now in the Hudson Valley.  Over the past decade, she has learned how to be "New Yorker".  After finishing undergraduate in Maryland, medical school in Pennsylvania, and Residency in Brooklyn, NY, she is excited to meet the wonderful families of Staten Island.  Fluent in Bengali (native language), Hindi and Urdu, and also in Spanish as a second language, she is looking forward to taking care of all the diverse families in the practice.
